“This is about a relationship I’ve had for a while now – not a particularly healthy one, I have to say. But in the spirit of self-healing, I thought it would be good to get it off my chest once and for all.”
Now everybody said you’d be bad for me.
But me and you we’ve got history.
We go WAY back.
Remember that first time in the park?
A bottle of sweet cider, it was getting dark?
Our first clumsy attempts to get it together
Oh my god – I was at the end of me tether!
But oh yes. We go WAY back.
And since that night you’ve been there for me.
And after no time at all we became a ‘we’.
Oh we had such great times after tea.
Oh yeh. We go WAY back.
You saw me though the good times and bad
The failed world cups, everytime I were sad!
You were there at the best times ive ever had.
Oh yeh. We go WAY back
Remember that time that me granddad died?
And labour lost the election and I cried and cried?
But you were right there by me side.
Oh yeh. We go WAY back.
But now I’m banned from seeing thee
Coz everybody says you’re no good for me.
But I must confess, this i’nt a he!
Marlbro Lights, Camel Lights.
